HIGHFILL – Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport is on track to open a new $20 million concourse in September.
Travelers will find more stores and food options, including a sit-down restaurant. The existing concourse will also be getting an update.
Fort Smith television station KFSM reports that American Airlines and Delta Air Lines have committed to use the new concourse.
Airport director Kelly Johnson says the new concourse will have more of an Arkansas identity, including an Arkansas-themed store.
The airport is likely to see an uptick in business when the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville opens in November.
